Saudi Woman Ms. Hind Alhelal Received ‘Young Woman Achiever of the Year Award’ at 2024 Shiptek Conference




Ms. Hind Alhelal received the ‘Young Woman Achiever of the Year Award’ at the 2024 Shiptek Conference in Saudi Arabia, held in Al Khobar on May 14th-15th. Ms. Alhelal, who has worked as a Marine HR professional for more than five years, currently serves as the Senior Seafarer Affairs Officer at the Transport General Authority. In this role, she oversees all seafarer-related tasks and conducts insightful workshops for marine company representatives.


Ms. Hind holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University in Saudi Arabia. Demonstrating a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, she actively supports the advancement of women in maritime leadership roles through her membership in the Association of Women in the Maritime Industry (AWIMA).


Her dedication further underscores her recent participation in the IMO’s International Day for Women in Maritime Celebrations in London, as well as, the Women in Maritime Conference held in Abu Dhabi. Recognizing her leadership potential, INSEAD, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, and Princess Nora University nominated Ms. Hind for the Leading for Results Program Cohort 28 in 2023.
