The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ZATCA delivered presentation on the side-lines of CCC

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) delivered a presentation on the side-lines of the Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers 9th session (CCC9), September 25th, 2023. The presentation was given by Director of Accounts Management Abdulaziz Al Mojel, and Logistics expert Hussam Al Bakri and highlighted the Kingdom’s achievements and aspirations of Saudi Arabia becoming a global logistics hub.

This presentation highlighted on the work of ZATCA and their mission to enable economic sustainability and prosperity through national security, trade facilitation, and strengthening the zakat, tax, and customs systems. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is capitalising on its naturally strong strategic location as the nexus between the East and West.

The work of ZATCA aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and driving trade facilitation in Saudi’s ports, ZATCA has initiated various measures and initiatives, including an improved clearance program that introduces far reaching changes in logistics procedures.

ZATCA has an innovative approach to customs and management and work continues to push Saudi Arabia to be a a robust logistics powerhouse and driving its growth as a global player in the maritime industry.
